About us
The Spanish Center for Subtitling and Audiodescription (CESyA) is one of the advisory centers of the Royal Board on Disability of the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and Agenda 2030, managed by the Carlos III University of Madrid. CESyA is the state technical reference center in audiovisual accessibility, as indicated by Law 13/2022, of July 7, General Audiovisual Communication Law.
As a research center, its task is to protect, disseminate and promote the accessibility rights of people with disabilities in the different audiovisual fields: television, radio, digital platforms, cinema, performing arts, social networks, Internet, etc.
In this sense, CESyA developed its SAVAT tool, which is responsible for 24-hour monitoring of the different channels of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) to verify and analyze the emissions with accessibility services they perform. Based on SAVAT, this purely informative website has been developed to provide a quick and easy consultation place to know the accessible programming. CESyA is not responsible for the quantity and quality of the accessibility services broadcast by the broadcasters, but it does collaborate with them by advising and transmitting the current regulations and legislation for compliance with the provision of accessibility on television.
